PlannedAIExperimental Project

MotoFlexing AI Editor

An experimental, early-stage project exploring AI-assisted video editing: turning raw vlog, gym, coding, and long-form footage into polished cuts and short-form clips. The capabilities below are intended directions, not finished features — they are marked Planned until actually built, in keeping with honest scoping.

01

The problem

Editing long-form footage into polished videos and short clips is slow and repetitive. This experiment explores how much of that pipeline AI could reasonably assist with.

02

Who it's for

  • Creators producing long-form and short-form video
03

User roles

  • Creator
04

My responsibility

What I actually did on this project — kept honest, especially on collaborative work.

  • Defining the concept and the realistic scope of AI assistance
05

Product decisions

  • Treat every capability as Planned until it genuinely works
06

Architecture

Concept stage. Architecture will be defined as the experiment progresses; no capability is implemented yet.

07

Key features

Every feature is labelled by its real state. Nothing planned is shown as shipped.

  • Silence detection & removalPlanned
  • Highlight detectionPlanned
  • Automated cutsPlanned
  • Caption generationPlanned
  • Shorts extractionPlanned
  • Music suggestionsPlanned
  • Thumbnail conceptsPlanned
  • Title generationPlanned
08

Challenges

  • AI video editing is genuinely hard; honest scoping is essential
09

Solutions

  • Mark everything Planned and avoid presenting concepts as a working product
12

Current limitations

What this project does not do yet — stated plainly.

  • Nothing is implemented yet — this is an experimental concept
13

Lessons learned

  • Labelling an idea as an experiment is more credible than overselling it
14

Future roadmap

  • Prototype individual capabilities one at a time
  • Validate which parts of the editing pipeline AI can realistically assist with
